Electronic health records (EHR) are being used more and more around the world over the past decade. As a result, adding clinical documentation to the already long list of duties doctors have to perform every day is a major source of stress for them.
The American Academy of Family Physicians established an Innovation Laboratory to address the frustration of EHR documentation burden by utilizing AI and machine-learning tools. Today, our special guest, Dr. Steven Waldren, AAFP vice president and the Academy's chief medical informatics officer, tells us more about Suki, an AI-powered, voice-enabled digital assistant for doctors. Moreover, he cites a study that showed how Suki helped streamline administrative tasks.
